Questo indica che spesso il vento del cambiamento arriva dall'est: quando i soldati vanno via da Berlino è il 13 agosto 1961 visto che ben 8 anni prima (nel 1953) avevano iniziato a costruire il muro che è poi rimasto per 28 anni come simbolo di divisione tra est e ovest: oriente ed occidente divisi da una "guerra fredda" tra USA e la vecchia URSS (ora Russia), finché il 9 novembre 1989 gli studenti di Berlino Est e di Berlino ovest iniziano a tirare sassi e quanto altro avevano in mano contro quel muro. Infatti, tutta la città di Berlino Est era tedesca. Non aveva più alcun senso quel muro, ma come la canzone dice: "il vento del cambiamento soffia dritto contro la faccia del tempo, come un vento di tempesta che farà suonare la campana della libertà per la pace della mente"...... Finalmente, dopo tanti anni di sofferenze, la Germania si è riunificata e come detto in apertura di canzone "il mondo si avvicina, non avresti mai pensato che potremmo essere così vicini come fratelli? Il futuro è nell'aria, lo sento dappertutto soffiare col vento del cambiamento"......
